After hugs and happy birthday wishes, we ate brunchalicious: biscuits, bacon, sliced tomato, lettuce spinach, and leftover crossaints.
Then she opened gifts! Grandma Bobbie gave Lily pretty silver star earrings, a pretty necklace with a moon, and a matching necklace and bracelet that April made for my mom years ago.
We gave her notebooks so she can keep writing to her heart's content, a cute vinyl wall lettering that says "each day I write my life's story," a really good hair-straightener-brush, and a fun mannequin head with long human hair that she can practice hairstyles on. (Yes, she wanted that and loves it! I'm glad Amara knew her wishes!)
Grandma Debby and Grandpa Jim sent her a happy birthday yard sign and some cute jeans she asked for. They fit her perfectly!
We went shopping in Vernal and got Lily a couple more pairs of jeans, and found them at a great price at Ross. She chose to go to Win-On Chinese Buffet for her birthday dinner.
We rented "Little Women" to watch in the evening and enjoyed her Mudd Pie Ice Cream Cake that she picked out from the store. It was a full, fun day!
Like her father before her, she wanted to fan out the flame with her hand... but
when that wasn't working, she clapped it out!
Happy Birthday to this sweet daughter of mine! These fifteen years with her in our lives is a true gift from God!
